We deliver turn-key support for complex utility and commercial foundations:
Foundation drilling and drilled shafts for transmission lines, substations, cell towers and commercial work
Hydro-excavation for safe daylighting, potholing, trenching and utility exposure
Limited access & low‑headroom drilling for tight or obstructed sites
Direct embed & CMP installation for poles, masts, and corrugated metal pipe
Constructability review & value engineering to de‑risk plans before mobilization
We self‑perform large‑diameter drilled shafts/caissons, hydro excavation, limited‑access/low‑headroom drilling, direct‑embed foundations, CMP installations, constructability and review/value engineering. We do not offer directional drilling.
Hydro-excavation is ideal for daylighting utilities, potholing and precision trenching where mechanical methods pose strike risk or where soft excavation minimizes project completion. See Hydro Excavation for details.
We provide hydro-excavation as a crewed service.
Yes—our limited access and low‑headroom drilling team tackles constrained sites. Minimum clearances, rig dimensions and platform loads are project‑specific—please share headroom, access width and platform rating for confirmation.
We support utility environments with strict safety protocols. See our Safety & Quality program. Site‑specific switching, permits and outage coordination follow owner requirements.
We specialize in large‑diameter caissons for utility and commercial foundations. Exact diameter and depth ranges are project‑dependent and influenced by access, geology, and tooling. For bidding, provide target diameter(s), depth(s), reinforcement/cage details, slurry/casing requirements, and the geotechnical report.
We work across typical Midwest soils. Temporary casing, slurry, and spoils management are evaluated from your geotechnical data during constructability review & value engineering.
Provide site addresses, access constraints, staging area limits, traffic control needs and any required security or outage windows. Early notice improves schedule and cost.
We provide constructability review and value engineering to optimize means, methods and costs before field work. We commonly coordinate with the Engineer of Record.
Safety is foundational to our operations. Learn more on our Safety & Quality page. Project‑specific safety plans, JSAs and utility owner protocols are integrated before mobilization.
We estimate based on diameter, depth, geotechnical conditions, casing/slurry needs, reinforcement, access/clearances, spoils handling, project completion and mobilization distance. Provide drawings and the geotech report for the most accurate proposal. For scope reference, see Foundation Drilling & Drilled Shafts.
Typically by productivity windows influenced by soil, debris handling, water supply and disposal logistics. Include utility maps, dig tickets, and project completion requirements when you contact us.
Yes—share preliminary drawings, target diameters/depths, quantities and schedule constraints so we can develop a planning‑grade estimate.
Start dates depend on active commitments, permitting, material lead times (e.g., casing, CMP, rebar cages), and access approvals. Share your required in‑service date and we’ll propose a realistic plan.
We can often mobilize quickly for priority work. Call early to align resources.
Early submittals, clear access, timely locates and coordinated outages. Our constructability review & value engineering identifies risks before field work.

No. Directional drilling is not offered by Dig‑It, Inc. If your project requires HDD, we can coordinate with the GC on alternatives (e.g., hydro excavation for conflicts) during preconstruction.
